Connecting Renewable Resources

Watch Above: Versant Power's Role In Connecting Renewable Resources to the Grid

We spoke with Versant Power Distributed Energy Resource Manager, Megan Greenlaw, and the Director of Operations at ReVision Energy, James Hasselbeck, to explain Versant’s role in solar interconnections.

While Versant Power doesn't own solar sites, we do play a major role in making them possible! Our job is to work closely with developers like ReVision Energy to safely interconnect solar projects like this Darling's site in Brewer to the grid.
The distribution system was not built to connect power sources of this size, so these projects need to be studied extensively to connect in a way that doesn’t negatively impact nearby customers.
