Oxygen Pump Benefit

The Oxygen Pump Benefit provides financial assistance to low-income customers, who apply and are approved for the LIAP Maine State Housing Low Income Assistance Program. Applications are submitted through the customer's local Community Action Program agency. To be eligible, customers must use an oxygen pump at least eight (8) hours each day. The benefit is intended to cover the cost of operating an oxygen pump.

The annual renewal process is necessary each program year and requires recertification for LIAP as well as the written approval of the customer’s physician or the physician’s agent or designee. Once a customer becomes LIAP eligible, the benefit will appear on their next bill.
