12.21.2023 Storm Restoration Update

Release Date:  12-21-2023

Over 250 crews are working hard to restore the remaining 26,000 customers without power following a peak of 97,000 outages on Monday. Damage crews are seeing is extensive and includes hundreds of broken poles and over 1,000 downed lines, over 500 of which are in the Bangor area.

Based on our most recent data from the field, work being done through the rest of today is likely to restore power to the streets listed here. It is not a guarantee that power will be restored. More than one circuit may power a street and additional damage may need to be repaired to fully restore the listed locations. If a customer does not see their location on this list, they should expect to remain without power until at least tomorrow.

Due to the extent of the damage, restoration efforts will continue through the end of the week. Customers in locations that are remote, seasonal, or have damage that must first be repaired by an electrician will not be restored until larger outages are addressed.

The most up to date information is available on our Live Outage Map. Thank you for your continued patience as our crews work safely and as quickly as possible to restore customers. When you see crews working, please always slow down and give them space to work safely.
