Commitment to the Community

Versant Power contributes both time and funding to nonprofit organizations in our service territory.  Through sponsorship contributions and board membership, we seek to support local organizations and their initiatives.

We regularly support such organizations as Heart of Maine United Way and The United Way of Aroostook as well as regional YMCAs and Chambers of Commerce.  Our support ranges over a broad spectrum of events and activities, from holiday light parades and local touch-a-truck events all the way to the CanAm dogsled races.  We are constantly looking for opportunities to partner with nonprofit groups #ForABrighterCommunity.

Sponsorship Requests

Versant Power receives sponsorship requests on a rolling basis.

If you represent an organization and have an event or program you would like us to consider sponsoring, please contact Carolina Rave at (207) 973-2649 or send us an email.

Please note Versant Power’s sponsorship program does not support the following endeavors:
  • Religious activities
  • Fundraisers or benefits for individuals
  • Capital campaigns
  • School programming, after-school programs, school trips, including field trips, youth athletics programming
  • Graduation, proms, holiday parties or Project Graduation
  • Funding requests for travel expenses
  • Debt reduction or operating costs
  • For-profit organizations
  • Gifts-in-kind, such as utility poles
  • Service installation or requests for electricity
