BANGOR and PRESQUE ISLE, Maine – Versant Power will hold a virtual session on its Integrated Grid Planning work at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 28. This meeting will focus on data we are using to model scenarios for identification of potential future grid needs.

If you would like to join this session, please RSVP at gridandclimate@versantpower.com.

This work will support Versant Power’s planning for the future of our system as well as fulfill requirements of LD 1959, An Act Regarding Utility Accountability and Grid Planning for Maine’s Clean Energy Future. Planning is intended to support state energy policy, modernize the electric grid, and facilitate a seamless transition to clean energy. Maine's electric utilities must develop comprehensive grid plans every five years, with the first due in January 2026. (See Maine Public Utilities Commission Docket No. 2022-00322).

Customers are encouraged to attend and learn about how the company is planning for future grid needs. Information will be posted on Versant Power’s website after the meeting for review and feedback.

Anyone can receive updates and sign up for our newsletter at Versant Power’s Grid and Climate Planning page. Feedback also is welcome at gridandclimate@versantpower.com.
