Join grid and climate planning discussions in Aroostook County

BANGOR and PRESQUE ISLE, Maine – Versant Power invites customers to learn about how the company is planning for future grid needs, climate resilience, and other topics of interest at a series of community meeting in Aroostook County.

Versant Power is conducting in-depth grid and climate planning processes as directed by recent legislation and the Maine Public Utilities Commission, LD 1959, An Act Regarding Utility Accountability and Grid Planning for Maine’s Clean Energy Future.

Anyone interested in the details of Versant Power’s grid and climate planning processes is encouraged to join these conversations. Please RSVP to receive survey links, ensure sufficient space is available, and receive updates if the event must be moved or postponed.

Topics include:

  • Who is Versant Power, and what is the utility’s role in grid and climate planning?
  • What are the grid and climate planning processes, and how do they affect me?
  • How do I get more involved and/or offer feedback?

Versant Power staff will be available to discuss any energy issues of interest. All feedback on the grid planning process will be documented and considered. Surveys also will be shared to help Versant Power better understand individuals’ specific concerns and areas of interest.
