12/20 Storm Restoration Update
December 20, 2023
After a peak of 97,000 outages in our service territory following unprecedented sustained winds Monday, about 45,000 customers are currently without power. Over 250 crews, more than we have ever had working on a storm in the company's history, are continuing to make repairs that will bring the most customers online at a time.
The work being done through the rest of today is likely to restore power to the streets listed here. It is not a guarantee that power will be restored. More than one circuit may power a street and additional damage may need to be repaired to fully restore the listed locations. If a customer does not see their location on this list, they should expect to remain without power until at least tomorrow.
Due to the extent of the damage, restoration efforts will continue through the end of the week. Customers in locations that are remote, seasonal, or have damage that must first be repaired by an electrician will not be restored until larger outages are addressed.
The most up to date information is available on our Live Outage Map. Thank you for your continued patience as our crews work safely and as quickly as possible to restore customers.
Versant Power is committed to delivering safe, reliable electric service. As the state's second-largest electric utility, the company delivers electricity to more than 165,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers across 10,400 square miles in northern and eastern Maine.
